When looking at comic books for sale, the price of any particular one has many factors that weigh in on its price. The rarity is one of the factors, but along with this is the popularity of the comic.
One thing a comic book collector has to be aware of is that there are many old and rare comics that have been restored to original condition. This includes the rarest comic of them all, the Action Comic from June of 1938 featuring Superman.

While the cost of this particular comic is in the 6 digits, most are more reasonable and obtainable. There are many that can be found in the comic book stores for 10 cents to $1 depending on the issue and condition.
A good example of a great comic going for a reasonable price is the Detective Comics from 1961. Issue number 296 features the silver age of Batman. While it is rare and over 40 years old, it can be obtained for under $5.
So when you are looking for comic books for sale do not act to eager and know what you want. This is the best way to get the lowest price on the comic you desire to own.
